Cuda Parents - It is time to register - to be a certified official!

    Hi Cuda Families!

Thank you for registering for the Cudas 2026 Season! Today’s email is a call out for Stroke & Turn Judges, Starters and Refs. We cannot run swim meets if we do not have Stroke & Turn judges (between 3 & 6 every meet) and a starter and a ref. We are critically low on people certified for these roles.

Let’s step up for the team! Free lollipops on June 6th for all trainees.   But really - it would be great to have 10 or more people take the training so we have enough volunteers to run meets.

Start with Stroke & Turn certification - both online and in-person options are available.

    Awesome benefits:

    • Wear a white shirt!
    • Have the best view of the pool!
    • You get a clipboard!
    • Who does not want to control the starting buzzer?!

    Things to know:

    • These are key positions that are needed for every meet. We CANNOT run meets with out these positions filled.
    • Do it anyway, try to commit one person from the household to do the training. Even if you are not sure to be a Stroke & Turn judge. You will learn more about the sport and how it works.
    • Training is only first step. Training does not commit you but helps us as a team. You will get to apprentice and try it out. Our first meet on June 6th is a great low pressure time to try it out.
    • What are you waiting for - click now and sign up!
    • If you have questions about the roles, what is involved, contact myself or Andrea Richter. (Will I have to DQ my kid? What if I am not sure? Why are there butterflies in swimming? Where do I get a cool white shirt? Does it really have to be white)
