Tynan O'Donoghue 301-906-3405, [email protected]

Hey Cudas! My name is Tynan O’Donoghue and I will be diving for Duke University as a freshman this upcoming year. I’ve competed in multiple nationwide competitions throughout my career and I’m super excited to continue diving in college. This season marks my sixth year as a coach of the Carderock Dive team and my eleventh year as a Carderock Cuda. I fell in love with the sport of diving from the moment I first set foot on a diving board at 9 years old. Now, I’ve taken it upon myself to share the passion I have with the next generation of Carderock Cudas. It is an honor to be part of such an amazing and close-knit team, and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve this year on the pool deck!  Please reach out if your cuda would like dive lessons!

Tim Lindstrom 202-961-1547 [email protected]

Hey all! My name is Tim Lindstrom; I will be attending The University of Maryland as a freshman this coming fall. This will be my third year coaching for the Cudas and my second as Assistant Head Dive Coach. I have been siwmming with the Carderock Community since I was a mini Cuda myself, and have been diving for around five years at this point. As a coach, there is nothing I enjoy more than connecting with my swimmers and divers and watching them take their first strokes or nail a dive they have been working on. I take a deliberate approach to coaching, focusing on building confidence and technical skills until we reach our goals. I have experience coaching swim and dive for children and adults. If you are interested, please feel free to reach out! (I don't bite, I promise) I can't wait for another summer with this incredible team and look forward to getting to know everyone. GO CUDAS!!!!

Sienna Gala 202-271-1107 [email protected]

Hi! My name is Sienna Gala, I am a rising Junior at Jackson-Reed High School. This will be my third year as a Junior Coach and my first year as Head Coach of the non-competitive dive team. I have been diving for Carderock Cudas for 7 years (including representing the Cudas at Divisionals and All Stars) and diving year round with MCDL for over 6 years. I am lifeguard and CPR certified, and excited to teach divers how to execute dives in a fun and safe manner! As the Head Coach for the new, non-competitive dive program, I look forward to helping new divers learn the technical aspects of executing a dive, and building their confidence with diving off of the diving board. I enjoy working with young divers and find it so gratifying to watch as they improve their skills as the summer progresses. I am very excited to coach AND dive for the team this season and can’t wait to see everyone and make some amazing new memories this summer. Please feel free to reach out if you or your diver would like additional dive lessons! I am here to help! Go Cudas!

Shauna O'Donoghue

Hi! My name is Shauna O'Donoghue, and I am a rising junior at Walt Whitman High. I have been on the Carderock dive team since I was 8 years old, and have gone to the USA Junior National Championships 3 times. I have been a dive coach for Carderock for 3 years already, and I love seeing how much fun the kids are having, and how much they have improved.

Dylan Zimsky 301-742-8709, [email protected]

I have been diving year-round since 2017, and I love the sport. I have been a Montgomery Dive Club Junior Olympic (JO) national dive team member since 2018, qualifying as a USA Diving Junior Nationals finalist six times. This year, as a freshman, I placed sixth at Metros, an annual competition in the DMV for high-school divers on the 1-meter springboard. An injury kept me from competing in the final stages of the 2023 junior national competition 2023, and to keep me engaged in the sport, I volunteered to help teach and train young divers on the Carderock Cudas dive team. Having advanced through the various stages of diving proficiency, I am familiar with building the skills necessary to dive at different levels, for example, beginner, intermediate, or advanced. In addition, I continue to learn about diving and how to perform in competitions through all the meets I participate in during the dive season. I am available to give dive lessons!  Please let me know if interested!
