Diving at Carderock Springs: Welcome!
Carderock Springs is looking forward to another great Dive season in 2026! The Carderock Springs Dive programs provide a fun and safe environment for divers to learn and grow their diving skills. The team has many skilled divers returning to the boards this year and welcomes new members to the team.
No experience is needed to join the team! Carderock Springs has one of the largest teams in the league due to our expert coaching staff, enthusiastic divers, and spirited team atmosphere. Safety is our top priority, and our experienced coaches will work with divers at practices to ensure divers learn the mechanics of properly executing dives. We also offer a non-competitive dive program and private lessons.
This year, the Dive Team will be led by Sienna Gala, a longtime Carderock diver and experienced coach. The Dive Team holds practices four times each week, Monday through Thursday, starting on May 26. We also have pep rallies with the swim team on Friday nights at the pool.
Carderock Springs competes in the Montgomery County Dive League (MCDL), and we are currently in Division II. Divers compete in five different age groups, for both boys and girls, from 8 and under through 15-18.
Dive meets during the regular season are on Sundays. We'll have a practice meet on June 7 and then compete in meets each weekend from June 14 through July 12. Divers who excel may qualify for the Divisionals Meet on July 19 and the All-Star Meet on July 23.
NON-COMPETITIVE DIVE PROGRAM
This program is geared toward divers who would like to develop dive skills but do not yet want to compete in weekly meets. This is a fun and safe way to learn how to execute dives without the pressure of competition. This class is perfect for beginning divers of all ages and all skill levels. Practice for non-competitive divers begins on June 22.
